Home Runs for Charity

Pledge any time during the 2024 regular season!

Pledge any time during the 2024 regular season!

We are baseball enthusiasts. So, we figured, why not combine our love of the game with our passion for supporting some of the great non-profit organizations in our community?

Here's our plan:

Part One: For every home run hit by players from the Sussex County Miners, NY Mets (MLB), and NY Yankees (MLB) in the 2024 regular season, we will donate $2 per home run to local charities we support.

Part Two: We want to find at least 50 companies and/or individuals who will join us in the fun. For the first 50 companies and/or individuals who pledge any size donation per home run, we will match 10 cents per homer to be donated to their charity of choice.

Ready to step up to the plate? Follow these steps to get involved and make a difference.

1) Fill out the form by clicking on the button below

2) Choose the amount you will pledge per homer. Any size pledge goes a long way to help these organizations continue to do great things in our communities

3) Choose the charities you wish to pledge to from our list, or write in your own

The Commonwealth Cares Fund (CCF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed by Commonwealth Financial Network to maximize the impact of our many and varied efforts to give back to the communities in which we work, live, and visit.

Since its establishment in 2010, Commonwealth Cares has given back to nearly 400 organizations worldwide. Whether providing supplies and money after a disaster or rolling up our sleeves to offer much-needed help, we always seek ways to contribute to those in need. Some of our top ongoing initiatives include:

Commonwealth Chemo Caps for Kids

Commonwealth Chemo Caps for Kids

Commonwealth Financial Network® created Chemo Caps for Kids to provide hand-knit and hand-crocheted hats for children undergoing cancer treatment. We’re honored to lend our support—and our needles—to this special program.

It all started in 2009 when the Commonwealth home office staff came together to support a colleague whose son was receiving treatment for a brain tumor. Since then, Chemo Caps for Kids has donated over 3,000 hats to children’s hospitals since then. People in our office are busy knitting and crocheting their contributions.

The impact we can make on the little heads—and hearts—of these kids (not to mention our own) is immeasurable. If you’d like to help, we’d love to have you! Please contact us for guidelines, recommendations on materials, and where to send finished hats.

Make-A-Wish

Make-A-Wish

A wish experience can be a game-changer for a child with a critical illness. This one belief guides them in everything they do at Make-A-Wish.

The Mission: Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

Wishes are more than just a nice thing. And they are far more than gifts or singular events in time. Wishes impact everyone involved—wish kids, volunteers, donors, sponsors, medical professionals, and communities. For wish kids, just the act of making their wish come true can give them the courage to comply with their medical treatments. Parents might finally feel like they can be optimistic. Still, others might realize all they can offer the world through volunteer work or philanthropy.
